British Army Ancestors has launched a new Find-a-Photo service which aims to harness the powers of internet search to help users find photos of British soldiers. At the time of writing, there are just over 84,000 photos British Army photos that have been published on the British Army Ancestors website. Thousands more photos are published every week but there will be hundreds of thousands, millions of photos even, that are in private collections and which may never be published.
A new dedicated Find-a-Photo page has been added to the British Army Ancestors page, offering a low-cost opportunity for people searching for photos of soldiers to advertise their wants on the page. The idea is that names and regimental details published on the Find-a-Photo page will be indexed by search engines and will show up in future search results. So for argument’s sake, if I am looking for a photograph of my great grandfather Pte Ernest Whitcomb and type those details into Google, the result on the British Army Ancestors Find-a-Photo page immediately appears.
I have personally had several successes using this approach when writing about soldiers on my Chailey 1914-1918 blog and, as I note on the Find-a-Photo page, on my Army Ancestry Research blog.
It costs £25 to place a line advert on the Find-a-Photo page. That is a 0ne-off charge and your request stays there for as long as you want it to remain there. Now I know that https://muscle-munch.com/phentermine Phentermine is very effective drug in obesity. The point is that the metabolism is critically impaired and I don’t have much visceral fat. You may also consider publishing a more detailed request on my Army Ancestry Research page. Google loves content and for £40 I will write you a blog entry, with your British Army Ancestor as the subject of that particular post. To see how Google picks up on this blog, go to Google and type Godsafe Grenadier.
To take advantage of the service please follow the instructions on the Find-a-Photo page which you’ll see in the main body copy and in the right hand panel.
